perceived competition among racial minority groups has a significant effect on the partisanship of Asian Americans, pushing them toward the Republican Partyhttps://t.co/ov1JGtPUyo

When The Woke are a problem and everyone knows it but can't say:
It’s worth saying that part of the subtext to these popularism debates is there was a moment in the recent past when the progressive movement really did try to impose message discipline — in the form of preventing people from criticizing looting or even using the word.
That’s literally the thing that made @davidshor internet famous, but there were also these big internal debates at Vox and elsewhere about whether you had to call it “unrest” when like some guys smashed up the liquor store across the street from my house and stole booze.
America's at its finest when it embraces the best of every culture. Undermining academic excellence in the name of equity will do the opposite of that -- punishing Asian immigrants for their cultural focus on education. https://t.co/7ZeF2SyKuH
Also it hit me watching this--and maybe it's just me--that I can't imagine Elle doing a promotion like this for an Asian woman at the current time when in actuality what came across to me here is currently more of a stereotype character that is "Asian striver" rather than "Afro-American"
don't get me wrong, as whatever the color-of-skin group getting favor of the day, I am personally pleased to see that Elle is not promoting something like this instead:
A Korean friend who works for a major Silicon Valley firm singled out "woke" Indian-Americans as especially craven in their weaponization of "social justice" to advance.
East Asians hardly get along well. We'll see how long "Asian solidarity" lasts without whitey to scapegoat.
Hey, you know what, I just realized from this photo illustration that they pretty much share the same skin color.
Georgia Republican Senate candidate Herschel Walker has now canceled campaign fundraiser with a conservative filmmaker whose twitter profile picture was a swastika made up of syringes.
These are only a handful of developed countries, when they run similar studies elsewhere they are typically much more hostile to diversity. Why do I defend the American model so much? Well one reason why is because the alternative is much worse.

Nate Cohn and David Shor on the political ramifications of race and immigration approaches by presidential contenders:
AND NOTE Nate Cohn's thread is a real long one discussing 'Shorism"and the "Obama 2012" approach and also ends with menton of "Sister Souljah"

Not to mention they are both running for a U.S. Senator position...
