^ Learning about shit like this reinforced my instincts to remain registered as an Independent when I moved to NYC. On principle I want nothing to do with corrupt machines prescribing power. People shouldn't kid themselves that NYC is the only place this happens. And they certainly shouldn't fall for the narrative that only one party is corrupt. Many of the founders are often rolling in their graves.
