I just think it is fascinating that there may be a relationship along the lines of microbes stalking human lung function.Not expecting much more from it than more scientific knowledge. There is also the thing where TB was such a long-lived scourge of humans and civilization just figured out ways to deal with it...

Saw earlier tonight on PBS/Amanapour, fascinating and possibly related to this TB thing. This famous virologist is starting a clinical trial right now with bigwig scientist at the FDA, they think oral polio vaccine retaken will confer temporary immunity, like for 4 or 5 weeks or more. He explains why, about initial immune system reactions, and also explains why he had to go public right now:
