As a result of the unprecedented and ongoing violent situation in Washington, D.C., we have required the removal of three @realDonaldTrump Tweets that were posted earlier today for repeated and severe violations of our Civic Integrity policy. https://t.co/k6OkjNG3bM
This means that the account of @realDonaldTrump will be locked for 12 hours following the removal of these Tweets. If the Tweets are not removed, the account will remain locked.
They blocked my acct 12 hours for a joke about wishing Trump got a "bowel disorder" to wipe the smirk off his face (in line with #DiaperDonald and his colestomy bag)
Equal in seriousness to calling for an insurrection, no?
These indefinite bans are going to cause a really interesting problem, because it's not like Trump is going to change when he's out of office. So when do you let him back? What are the rules going forward?
"Even @facebook looks less shitty than us"
"I'd rather not be remembered as the director who enabled this."
"We can't just label his damn tweets"
"Jack, are you asleep?"
I didn't see this third "Twitter Safety" tweet regarding Trump's account yesterday:
Future violations of the Twitter Rules, including our Civic Integrity or Violent Threats policies, will result in permanent suspension of the @realDonaldTrump account.
A reminder: two weeks and he's out of office. He would have to go to another outfit to continue to agitate his fans. He will just be another Qanon.
He doesn't follow the normal media rules of growing an audience by being more reasonable and therefore more attractive reading to a larger audience. He's a narcissist troll, he goes for outrage, making up stories that agitate and aggravate normal people.
The problem as I see it:
our free speech system works on the basis that trolls will be ridiculed and ignored by the majority with common sense and have a small audience (i.e. Alex Jones)
he was president of the United States and has a large audience and other people check on what he's saying to check on wassup with him and them
this feeds his "ratings" which is all he really wants; he wants attention, but he has a lot of "followers" and does things like instigate riots. how do you not "feed the troll"?
At last, all the "Camp Auschwitz" merchandize as been removed from TeeChip! Thanks to everyone who answered the call to action. Small changes can make a big difference. @AuschwitzMuseumhttps://t.co/3u9yiqtJH3

Did someone there really tell you that or are you just guessing that was the reason? Just curious!

note especially above that Facebook is banning calls for protests--even peaceful ones---if they violate D.C. curfew
