dang I got paywalled, over the free story limit, so can't read it. But I will say this: he's certainly never been stereotypically Italian! (And believe me, this is not a simplistic opinion, as I have much experience in that culcha, know a lot of the stereotypes, and he fits neither northern nor southern...)
