Welcome BA2121 - maybe we can be like Shanghai, yum!!!
(20% share of infections in a month, though to be fair, infections this past month have been below 50k/day, so not really spreading the pandemic as well as it sounds.)
NEW KID ON THE BLOCK—#BA2’s new spin off #BA2121 sub-subvariant is now surging exponentially—so infectious that it is outpacing even #Ba2 and completely displacing #Omicron, which is now near extinct. Together #BA2 and #BA2121 are now 94% of all strains in US.
I got my 2nd booster two days ago, the question is will it protect me now that everybody's gonna be going maskless? it's not so much the dying in agony thing anymore, of course. rather it's that I got a ton of other health issues making life constricted and miserable that I put off precisely because I know they are all things medicine doesn't understand that well (where you have to do the lengthy trial and error thing with lots of one step forward followed by two steps back) SOOOO last thing I need is another factor of something they don't understand that well, like aftereffects of covid infection screwing things up more!
oh well we got to live a few decades in a relatively nice era, younger people may not have the same. whatcha gonna do?

"Elon Musk noted some suppliers are requesting 20% to 30% cost increases for parts from 2021 to 2022, well above the 8.5% inflation rate reported by Labor Department data on Tuesday." https://t.co/wwIgQVVnju
"Tesla's own factories have been running below capacity for several quarters as supply chain became the main limiting factor, which is likely to continue through the rest of 2022,” it said in a letter to shareholders. https://t.co/qN5Jnaq4cr
