Black reverse migration is a means of seeking black power without recourse to or dependence on white guilt -- it is also entirely feasible and requires no changes in law or administration, while conferring a homeland to a dispossessed people https://t.co/pnuPph7RBs
Executing it requires no utopian break with existing institutions, and requires no one to seek permission from anyone else to execute it -- just the free choice of individuals.
I don't know enough about it to say I support it, but the qualities enumerated above are attractive, and whether I or anyone else supports it doesn't ultimately matter if the people will it.
Why the group think? Blacks can simply go where they individually feel comfortable, have the most opportunity, and the other factors that go into choosing a city? I understand Marcus Garvey trying to give guidance to a captive black slave population. But this is infantilism, trying to stoke up some new black Zionist homeland fervor based on 2 related elections. Great, enough ppl hated Trump to vote for a black guy (1.8%) and a Jew (.8%). I understand it's greater in Atlanta. But what are the schools like, the jobs in different sectors, the air, the public services, health care, crime, the cost of living (quite low), opportunities for black women, recreation opportunities, other quality of life measure... What are the differences between northern churches and Atlanta's? What about for LGBTQ+? Senior care? Childcare? Levels & pockets of discrimination and where?
I agree but that would be in an ideal 21st century America where liberal NYTimes writers don't try to increase segregationism instead of decrease it. Northeastern whitey just won't get his foot off his peoples' neck, I guess? No matter how many highly paid folks with black skin the NYTimes hires? Atlanta = Wakanda?
Edit to add: his writing has really changed a lot recently!

157 homicides in woke Wakanda vs 99 in all 2019. Trouble in Paradise.
