I checked one item, inviting Netanyahu (or leader) to the White House - it's expressed in terms of Iran, not Palestine, in supporting the contentious Iran deal. So misleading. Imagine much else is too. However, important point - our claims about an Iranian nuclear program are largely bullshit - yeah, thought experiments on building a bomb and little else. Centrifuges are hardly a final stage. But it's unrealistic to expect any president to buck the Israeli lobby - if Bernie tried it, he'd have his ass handed to him so fast he might as well govern from Nova Scotia - ask Quinn's how that'd be. I wouldn't even care so much aside from the rather horrid visuals of every US president and thus all us Americans backing a steadfast refusal to solve the Palestinian issue or make it a bit better (though Bill did seem to try at least), and letting Israel protection motives drive us into ever nuttier Mideast policies. Hizballah is largely contained, Syria was a non-threat, Jordan is a friend, Egypt was even enforcing the embargo on Gaza - How did we let this turn into the shit it is today, or more exactly, what did we do to accelerate it? Crediting this to a junior Senator from New York is rather peculiar. Blaming her for actions as Secretary of State is more germane except that no one else would have the political leverage to resist Netanyahu's petulant demands - while Republicans would likely go Bibi one step further (whether thinking it was bringing on the rapture or simply thinking engaging enraged Muslims and Islamists will do anything but make them more enraged. I never much liked the idea of the president saying "make me pass it" to his supporters, but I can't imagine how this article ignores the stranglehold Israel has on our Mideast options. Why not "what we can expect from any US President on Israel/Palestine" if we want to be honest? (granted, a big "if")
