MURDER, POLITICS, AND THE END OF THE JAZZ AGE

..hard hitting look at Bain Capital, from the Gingrich campaign, funded by a casino owner, and apparently to run in SC, why can't the Democrats come up with ads like this, or will they?

If Obama's team won't - there are the labor union PACs.

Article at WSJ says of the 10 companies Bain Capital made most of its total profits, 4 later went belly up, bankruptcy. That is of course nearly half. Bain made a killing, and workers, investors and creditors got the shaft. I am sure Romney would consider all 10 home runs, for Bain, Romney and the 5 little Mitt's, each with their $20 million trust fund. Bain seems the poster child for predatory capitalism. The guy has spent his life serving the rich.
The WSJ also says a calculation of the usual rate of LBO's ending in bankruptcy world-wide is below 8%. Overall, 22% of Bain acquisitions went under. Bain Capital was also big on using off-shore Cayman Island style tax havens to dodge taxes.

Nice post, NCD.
I predict this film will be a game changer in more ways than one. The anger against Wall St. has yet to be reckoned with from the stand point of the rank and file worker in this country, a great host of them, white males, concentrated in the Republican party.
This is work the Democratic party would have to do eventually if Romney becomes the nominee. But how much better that the Republicans are doing it for them. The one downside is that Republicans may have jumped the gun on Obama on Wall St. anger in ways which will come back to haunt him. That would depend upon Romney being taken down.
I also think this film will portray the real villain in our economy---making money with money, especially at 15% tax rates in hedge funds and rank speculation by big banks and financial institutions. Maybe something constructive will come out of this sorry circus called the Republican primary.
