MURDER, POLITICS, AND THE END OF THE JAZZ AGE
by Michael Wolraich
FINALLY, the NYTimes says it! Everyone will believe it now, been waiting for this damn article for 2 yrs. It's true, your stuff has not been a good investment, prices are at 1980's levels. No one wants your boomer memorabilia either. Deal with it: shit happens, times and tastes change. If you have to sell a lot of old stuff now, it's probably liquidation at below cost, that's reality. The win-the-lotto thing is over for grandma's stuff. It would be worse, you could have spent your whole life in the business and were thinking of retiring by selling your inventory.
