Was always one of the main flaws about individual "Obamacare": when you have a major (as in expensive) health problem, you end up having to come up with approx. $6K out of pocket per year before full coverage kicks in:

The article, however, is mostly about how many employer-provided plans have now caught a similar "bug", surprise, surprise.
