Who expected NATO to accept Ukraine as a member in the middle of a war with Russia?

They're trying to avoid nuclear war and maintain the moral ground. Even now Russia is playing "the US provoked Russia" card. Til now, we can say that Ukraine was never offered NATO membership, only a path to the EU, despite lies by those Aaron Maté types. But Putin used that pretense to occupy Crimea and Donbas. Now he pays.

Yes, some NATO and Ukrainian equipment is lost, in fact, a lot. But the war is intense and Russia has lost much more. Check any respectable OSINT source.

Ukraine is a smaller country than Russia. Furthermore, Ukraine values human life, while Russia doesn't. So, it is true that Ukraine mobilization potential is smaller. But it is far from depleted. Moreover, many of the recently trained brigades have not yet entered the action. 9/

Today, Zelensky announced that the Netherlands is donating 42 F-16 fighters jets to Ukraine.
