Roy Blunt (R-MO) is crying foul that FEMA may not be able to fund some work in disaster zones in Missouri at this time due to budget cuts made by Republicans.
Due to a string of climate related emergencies, culminating with Irene, FEMA funds have dipped below a critical one billion. FEMA needs to take care of more critical and immediate relief in disaster zones in New England.

Contrary to the usual groundless Republican race-baiting, the huge Wallow fire was caused by two reckless local Arizona residents camping out. John McCain had said that "there is substantial evidence these fires are caused by people who cross the border illegally" while the fires were raging out of control. There was 'no evidence' of that, there was evidence even before McCain opened his piehole that the fire was caused by irresponsible local Arizona campers.
