The Bishop and the Butterfly: Murder, Politics, and the End of the Jazz Age

    Contextually Speaking...Just Sayin'

A lot of sound bites have been thrown around, so far, in the run for the Presidency in 2016.

So many things have been said, by some candidates, that said candidates are now wishing they had never opened their mouths to speak...

...or even have run at all.

    (Jeb!)

I would like to just concentrate on one sound bite that stands out to me, so far, the most, in the race.

"Enough about the emails!  We don't care about the damn emails!!"

To me, when Bernie Sanders said that in the debate, I didn't see it as an A) Awe Bernie is being a gentleman moment, nor did I see it as an effort to be B) the candidate who will not throw stones first nor did I think C) Bernie is throwing his career away because Clinton will now go cut throat and use this moment as her saving grace from a now-weakened political running mate.

I saw it as it was, mainly:  Bernie saying, "Fuck the email controversy tonight, folks, let's stay on topic and talk about the poor people in America fighting against the 1% who hold all of our country's wealth!".

That is how Bernie argues.  NOT against an adversary, NOT blindly helping his fellow running mate, but FOR THE PEOPLE.  He just wanted to stay on topic, that night.

And he's been doing it this way for 30 years, and he'll continue doing it this way until 2016...and beyond.

    Just sayin'.
