In the discussions regarding Arizona State Univ not giving Pres. Obama an honorary degree, Avvocato noted that "Raul H. Castro" stuck out like a sore thumb on the list of those who have rec'd honorary degrees from ASU. I replied "Why???" http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2009/04/no-honorary-degree-for-obama.php#comment-3435918
I just realized. Sorry to not have figured it out.
I was so in my Arizonan mode in responding to all the anti-ASU and anti-AZ comments - and the ones that needed context, that it struck me as strange why anyone would question an honorary degree for the Arizona-Governor-turned-Ambassador from the 1970's. He was the first governor I knew about and had seen in person, so it was perfectly natural that he was honored by ASU.
I was so not thinking about Fidel's bro. So sorry, Avvocato (and anyone else who wondered about my comment)
