So here we are with the fate of the world in our hands, a nation at war and in the midst of economic hardships galore, a Democratic presidential nominee destined to make history and a Republican opponent who would bestow on this country more of the same idiotic policies as his GOP predecessor.
And what do we do with that cornucopia of blessings?
We ignore it. We ignore the top of the GOP ticket. We ignore what matters: McCain.
Instead of developing memes and doing any research on issues, we settle for the quick celebrity innuendo. We regurgitate crap faster than a Karl Rove emailing campaign.
We jerk off about Palin's daughter's pregnancy. We post misogynistic barbs about her qualities as a woman. We dig for hidden dirt on obscure details of her personal life and expect that will resonate positively with voters instead of being seen as the sliming it demonstrably is.
And all the while, McCain gets a free ride from us. No, worse than a free ride. Because these personal attacks will come back to bite Obama, and as one commenter said, immunize the GOP ticket from legitimate criticism.
Pump it. Pump it up. Take your puerile interests and ignore tha fate of the nation. Use your power to communicate in the most irrelevant and damaging way possible. Go on. Jerk off. You're almost there.
