    TIDES; TIGER & THE BABE!

    Babe Ruth2.jpg

    I am missing Smith.

So I am creating this non-Haiku in the hopes I can find out how he is doing.

    I was thinking about tides.

We can better understand the miraculous as long as we admit the miracle of tides.

The ole 'ebb and flow' as they say.

Babe Ruth is a hero of mine.

He was some Irish mug who was thrown away by his parents and tossed out of school and picked up by a Priest.

A Catholic Priest thought that there was some talent in this degenerate.

And the Babe was introduced to baseball.

.342 batting average; lifetime batting average! Unless you get into folks like that fascist prick …..well it is hard to find lifetime batting averages this high.

    714 home runs!

But he also attained 93? wins as a pitcher.

He won three World Series games as a pitcher.

There was no one like him in baseball ever, and to this day there is no one who could possibly put up those stats.

We do not run baseball teams like we did then!

But I was interested even more in the Babe's career.

    How does an ubermench survive?

Babe was surely an idiot; he was uneducated and he used booze and tobacco to increase his acumen. Hahahahah

    Babe was a peasant.

And yet, there are parallels to his success to someone who could never be called a 'peasant'.

There are ups and downs in life for almost everyone; ebbs and flows.

The Babe was the American League home run champion from 1918 thru 1931 with one exception, he kind of fell down in 1925.

Jimmy Foxx must have been the man who undid the streak! Jimmy also loved the liquor and the tobacco; oh and the women as well! Hahahahahah I just love Jimmy Foxx!

1922 was a disappointment to Ruth and to the League.

His batting average fell to .315.

Hell, anyone batting .315 would have been considered an ubermench. Hahhahah

In 1925 the Babe hit his nadir.

.290 and less than 100 games as a player.

    It was all over.

Convulsions and hot dogs and whatever....the Babe was done.

    47 home runs in 1926.

    1927: 60 home runs!

The career of an ubermench is never always on the rise.

There has to be a nadir. There has to be a slap in the face to the hero; hell a real kick in the nuts.

    Otherwise life makes no sense!

And here we are facing the new Tiger on the golf course.

I could go on an on about how stupid golf is; golf is a sport of kings and rich folks and people who would create a new 'natural' universe under the auspices of God. Hahahahah

    I hate these people. Hahahahah

And there was Nicklaus (does he have ancesters going back to the NAZIS?) haahhahahha Sounds German to me anyway. And there he was endorsing THE MITT! Big surprise.

Tiger is the picture of the American Hero.

And an American Hero cannot win every godddamn time!

It would not suit our national consciousness. Hahahaha

Where the Babe batted .341 for a lifetime in the 'Majors'; our current hero 'bats' .260 depending upon the source.

And yet, Tiger is a team of his own.

Tiger gets no help from the pitcher or the third baseman. Hahahahah

Tiger is a team upon himself. Haahhhahahah

I laugh every frickin time I think about this.

Tiger has won 7 of his last 21 tournaments.

I mean think about it for chrissakes!

    Tiger hit bottom by 2010.

And recall that he was not doing that well in 1998 the year following his explosion onto the golf world in 1996-1997. Tiger was coming up with his new 'swing'.

Some of his quotes were incredible.

Oh I was not playing my A game. Hahahahahahahah

How would you like to come in second in some PGA tournament and the winner states that he did not have his A game that week? hahahaha

He actually would say this when he won some tournament. Hahahahah

He KNEW he was ubermench and he always knew he was ubermench.

I mean look at his amateur record.

He started winning his amateur tournaments when he was 10. hahahahah

And he was competing with golfers four years older than he!

So he hits his first nadir in 1998.

    I am changing my swing.

    Oh sure.

    Hahahahhahahahah

And 1999 he wins one major but 8 other tournaments. Hahaha

See, I cannot stop laughing at this man's hubris.

I mean that up until 1976 Tiger would not have ever been allowed on the course in Augusta. Hhahahahaha

See, my laughter knows no bounds.

    Tiger could have certainly caddied.

    Hahhahahahaha

I could go on and on of course.

So Tiger hits the wall, as it were.

And the BA during 2010-2011 for Tiger Woods:

    Batting average: 0

    WGC: 0

    PGA wins: 0

    Major Championships: 0

    hahahahahah

    He's done, they done said.

There was the matter of the 7 iron and the big van.

There were those porno stars of course.

There were the stories about knee surgery.

    Oh, but hang on:

    2012-2013:

    Batting Average: .333 (7 for 21)

    World Ranking: NUMBER 1

FED EX CUP RANKING: NUMBER 1 (As of March, 2013)

    PGA Money Leader 2013

Tiger came in fourth this year at the Masters with three Major Tournaments on his horizon.

    Is 2013 Tiger's 1927?

    Or maybe 2014?

I don't know and neither does anybody else.

Just pretend this is May 18th, 1927.

There was no way you could know where the Babe might take you.

Babe was 32 at the time; although a hard 32 at that.

    Tiger aint 38 until December.

I would not count the fellow out though!

How in the hell I get caught up in this ubermench thingy is beyond me.

But let me tell you all something!

There is a hell of show goin on out there!

And at 63 goin on 73, I am excited!

Everybody talks about Majors and how Nicklaus has 18 wins and Tiger only has 14. But Jack won his last Major when he was 46.

But more than one sports pundit would point to Snead's record of 82 PGA wins as the real test for a lifetime of golf.

Well, Tiger has only four wins to go in either category.

There is an argument that Tiger only needs three Major wins to tie Jack since Tiger has three US Amateur championships under his belt and Jack only has two.

Tiger is the number one rated golfer in the world; again! And Tiger has been rated the number one golfer in the world 12 times; more than any other golfer in history.

Tiger has more PGA wins than any current competing golfer; just about twice the Great White Hope's numbers.

Tiger has more European Wins than every other player in the world, ever, except for two.

It is really a wondrous thing to watch this guy play golf. And I really do not even like golf. Hahahahah

I hate the manner in which capitalists transform nature into this fantastical Eden.

I am sick and tired of how they hire their own relatives to run their 'non-profit' charities and claim over the airways they they are feeding orphans in Uganda.

I am sick and tired of seeing 'purses' approach the 2 mill mark for the winning athlete who puts balls into cups.

I am sick and tired of sports announcers who preface the tournaments like there really is some history there that means something to the peasants; that is the 99%.

I am sick and tired of a sports propaganda that promulgates some sort of hero worship that is anti-democratic from the start.

    AND

I really would like to see an environmental impact statement every damn time the billionaires build a new golf course.

    BUT

Tiger really has already beaten everybody.

This mongrel who encapsulates all three major races on this planet is so much fun to watch!

A Swede who came in second last week at the Players (the so-called fifth Major) says Tiger is the greatest golfer who ever lived.

This is all one hell of a story.

It aint finished yet, by a long shot.

But damn, Tiger's play is the story!

It is just a joy to watch this fellow who's Black military father would escort him around the best courses in the world in the after-hours.

    I dunno.

We all need someone to cheer for, I guess.

    Or cheer on.

Again, just imagine it is May of 1927 and you have no idea where that baseball season is going.

It aint over until it's over!

    The end.

I was wondering also why he was missing this week.  Maybe he is real busy with his fund raising projects.
