MILWAUKEE — A 10-year-old boy who shot and killed his 44-year-old mother last week in Milwaukee is being charged with first-degree homicide as an adult.
According to a criminal complaint, the boy was allegedly mad at his mom for waking him up early and not letting him have something on Amazon [....]

I was a victim of similar! Someone filed for unemployment benefts with NYState using my identity in 2020. I got a letter describing the benefts denied and just freaked but I was lucky, like the day after I got a letter from an investigator basically saying 'just ignore that" that they caught the perp and no it's not me.
I suspect the amount of fraud, though, was a pandemic in itself...
