Listened to your link thru the first few minutes of his tape of the call with Mark Townsend. Then I quit because I was getting embarrassed for him, it was l9ike reminding me of Trump arguing that "the media" is not fair with him especially as he is a genius.

Instead I went searching on Twitter for people's reactions to this videotape. In the midst of checking some of those out, I found this most excellent and interesting June 2 article which was of far more interest to me than Mate whining on and on about Townsend's supposed unfairness and unprofessionalism towards him:

It's the same fucking cherry picking news to fit a half-century-old anti-American narrative over and over and over and over. Anyone who finds this kind of "journalism"  interesting must have fell in love with Brezhnev once and just won't let go. It's the SAME fucking anti-American propaganada narrative over and over and over and over. Nothing ever changes it because everything pulled from the news fits the narrative or is ignored. What he sells is like for the little kid who wants to hear the same bedtime story over and over and over. Must be comforting to believe such simplistic crap propaganda about how the world works.

I can't believe The Hill gave Mate a video interview 6+ minutes to share his simplistic agitprop on Ukraine, but I guess their mission is to keep politicians and their aides informed of all varieties of political spin
