This six minute video regarding the JCOPA agreement with Iran is an excellent synopsis of its history and the current status.

Why not summarize whats important, what's new, so we know if we want to watch? More and more videos popping up here, gotta save something for Netflix...

Parsi's analysis seems spot-on except Putin certainly didn't want a westward-facing treaty with Iran, and I'm sure he pressured Trump to crash out more than Bibi did. But then Trump was elected with both's help, so that's how we got our Mideast policy run by Jared, Erik Prince, and other dick less slime all actors. Biden has to recover gracefully from that abandonment of US interests while still holding up the goals oof the negotiations - even as Iran's new Pres is more hardline and Israel's is prolly more conservative than Bibi bot not the showboatter/bullshitter Bibi is. So good luck to Biden, but think he has the skill for something positive. Yes, side channel talks out of the public eye. When Hillary mentioned this as a standard necessary diplomatic practice, everyone acted as if she'd kissed the devil - such lack of transparency! But transparency is where all Bibi's showboatting was happening, screwing actual compromise..

I do not share your certainty about Putin's position on the JCPOA. Putin did not want Iran to have a nuclear weapon. He did publicly support the JCPOA. There are pundits who say that of course he really didn't support it. Of course there are. And what do you mean by the pessure to "crash out"? If you mean that he actually had more influence on Trump leaving the agreement than did Bibi, then I think you are probably mistaken to the point of being delusional as so many have been about the actual sway Russia had on Trump.
