Poll: Most Latinos think Democrats care about them, Republicans less so

But while most Latinos had something nice to say about Democrats, not all are happy with the party.

A new survey from the Pew Research Center found that most adult Latinos in the United States think that the Democratic Party cares about Latinos and works hard to get their votes.

The survey also found that a substantial number of respondents don’t think there is a huge difference between either party.

Researchers noted that while the political party affiliation of Latino votes has shifted over the past few years, adult Latinos registered to vote in the United States still tend to lean Democrat

Latinos don't fit neatly into the Black-White paradigm so ingrained in our country. Maybe those voters don't fit neatly into liberal-conservative paradigm either?

Here it looks like what happened is that Dems lost the culturally conservative cohort, in a major way, starting between 2012 and 2016 and escalating rapidly 2017 to 2022

This was maybe the most fascinating finding from our recent NBC News/Telemundo poll:

Conservative Latinos went from D+9 in congressional preference in 2012 (per our merged polls), to R+56 now.

Events: Heavy gunfire is occuring around the area of the U.S. Embassy and residential compounds adjacent to the Trutier area of Tabarre. All Embassy personnel have been instructed to remain indoors and shelter-in-place until further notice. All others should avoid the area.

Actions to take:

Avoid the area;

Avoid demonstrations and any large gatherings of people;

Do not attempt to drive through roadblocks; and

If you encounter a roadblock, turn around and get to a safe area.
