You get acquainted with them...
It's great they all have employment...
And yes... Duh... that why I posted the date and link.
And my point is the Hispanic voting block are a small minority of the whole.
That is all.

If you read the fucking articles on topic that's exactly the point THERE IS NO HISPANIC OR LATINO VOTING BLOC, they are 100's of different groups from lots of countries and they disagree with each other and the Democratic party never even looked into that and they were shocked by the number of them. BIDEN LOST SEVERAL STATES HE EXPECTED TO WIN BECAUSE OF "HISPANICS."
They (led on by people like Beto) thought that if FOR ONCE IF THEY JUST GOT OUT THE RELUCTANT HISPANIC VOTE THEY WOULD WIN THEM ALL. WELL GUESS WHAT, the GOTV thing worked gangbusters, but surprise surprise surprise, they aren't all liberals! They arrogantly never bothered to ask "what do you care about?" they just pushed them to get out and vote. And many of them did, many many more voted Republican, surprise surprise surprise.
But you are totally wrong that this is an insignificant minority of the population, it is the fastest growing segment of the population it is larger than the Afro-American, both having children and intermarrying at a fast clip and it's growth is actually a threat to the racists who would like to see the country dominated by caucasian populations.

Gee PeePee...
No one seems to really give a big steaming pile about this issue here at Dag.
Come to think of it, very few people come around Dag to give a crap about anything here.
But you two peas in a pod are doing a bang up job of aggregating and filling threads here with all the other info from all the other people in the inter-tubes.

This comment is an attempt to improve the site?
by moat on Fri, 02/05/2021 - 10:39pm
I think yes, it is an attempt. He thinks we should listen to OGD and not read all of these other people. OGD who wants us to read 2006 articles about Christian Dominionism as if it is still an important political development 14 years later. He labors under the impression that there is 5,000 lurkers on this site, and he has captured the fancy of them all, not having a clue how the hit counter works.
by artappraiser on Fri, 02/05/2021 - 11:12pm
I have tried questioning twice, once to PP and once to Wolraich, to get more than the clue I actually have about the number of lurkers here, but to no avail. My guess is that there are about forty regulars.
by A Guy Called LULU on Fri, 02/05/2021 - 11:53pm
Lulu I suspect Michael doesn't want to say because there is zero benefit to his admitting it is not a site with a high number of users, especially if he has in the back of his mind to use the site for something in the future. (That's just my guess though, based on knowing other people like him, not anything he told me.)
by artappraiser on Sat, 02/06/2021 - 12:51am
I am not pushing anyone to do it, [It might well be tedious and time consuming] and not intending to make an issue of no one going to the effort. But I have been curious about the number and have made a little effort to inform my guess. This thread presented an example of my evidence/clues.
The site was not particularly active when I posted ny comment at 10:01 my time and the view count was 526 . Six minutes later it was 546. Then, four minutes later at 10:11 the count was 553. Then at 10:18 the count had reached 571. I realize that each time I checked I added one to the count but with no additional comments by that time there is no reason to think others clicked on the comment more than once. At 10:36 it took an unusually big jump to 658. So, anyway, I have done this a number of times to come to my estimate/guess. I will submit this, note the number of views when it hits and put that in a reply.
by A Guy Called LULU on Sat, 02/06/2021 - 1:22am
There are 783 views on the counter as this comment hits.
by A Guy Called LULU on Sat, 02/06/2021 - 1:25am
well I just looked at your comment. then I went elsewhere. then I thought about it and decided to come back to reply to your comment. that will make it 3 more clicks or page views. Then everyone else on the thread will come back to see what I said and that will make many more clicks...and as PP has noted many times, most of us don't use preview and edit our comments and posts a lot and each edit is a click, I didn't do that this time on purpose.. took my time and looked it over before I hit send, but I that's not usual, often come back after I post and edit.
by artappraiser on Sat, 02/06/2021 - 1:29am
OK. I did point out that the counts I gave were all between comments. Maybe there are no lurkers and seven or eight regulars look back at a comment eight or ten times in thirty minutes or an hour or so even when there has been, so far, no indication of a followup comment.. My estimate intended to give great allowance to multiple hits by regular participants.

In his own words, here's a reminder of why Danny Cardwell stopped posting here This was what he last wrote. It had nothing to do with aggregating news. It did have to do with behavior
from his last thread
After this happened, I found him on Twitter and followed him and he followed me back.
Twitter has one really great tool for people who feel like he does: you can block other users from seeing your tweets and interacting with you. (You can also pretend to like them by following them back but "mute" their tweets so you never see them, so one never knows, so I am not making a claim one way or another.)
as far as OGD behavior, mho, and I've said it before: you spent your first first few days back attacking me PERSONALLY with childish nasty tweets having nothing to do with content. I IMMEDIATELY thought of how that must look to others: they must be thinking: why the fuck would I even type a word on that site when I could be attacked by a nasty childish motherfucker like that just for posting content in a tiny off-the-way section of the website? She must be a masochist to put up with that, not me, there's plenty of other places to go bu bye dagblog...
I took it in stride because I remember his behavior on TPMCafe (and the related aftersites which I frequented and which you can still find if you search for his user name on Google.) He posted some content, but mostly just got involved with forming a clique like in high school where they all admired Richard Day (who deserved admiration) and I remember you, OCD as thinking you were their protector daddy who would chase away the trolls that might bother Liz or stillidealisitc or some such. Gave you a chance to practice being nasty and fighting. That is just like high school! Time to grow up and talk about things for real before you die? Instead of callling people here names and calling people in the new names, as if name calling solves anything?

Holy mackerel . . .
Can ya' find some time from aggregating twitter posts to show the links to those? Meanwhile...
And here is the Google Search - About 22,200 results (0.41 seconds)
Here's every graphic at Google Image that I've posted.
Google Images oldengoldendecoy There's a ton of them. And quite eclectic.
And here's the first links that come up with some of my comments and posts.

Here are some more current related Pew links and I have read many articles pointing out the first, that the Dem party didn't pay enough attention to Hispanics. And that the party was blindsided and surprised by losing a lot of Hispanic votes

"THIS IS HOW BIDEN SHOULD APPROACH THE LATINO VOTE"

Some ways of talking about race and class are more effective politically. And not just with Hispanics.
Op-ed by Ian Haney López and Tory Gavito; Haney López is the author of “Merge Left: Fusing Race and Class, Winning Elections and Saving America.” Ms. Gavito is the president of Way to Win, a progressive electoral coalition.
