Once the best football coach Bama ever had. (if George Wallace had run for Senate, maybe he woulda been the Kingfish, but then again, he never helped try to overthrow the guvmint direct, even though James Allen was quite famous for 1-man filibusters - this new breed of Senator's mighty scrappy - possibly Sen. Shelby felt he was no longer up to the stoopid, at least that expected for modern times - not a leisurely Suthern pace, but stoopid on speed dial).
