The spineless one, Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY), as might be expected, tweeted everything is OK.  He talked to DHS head John Kelly and Kelly said so.

Senator Schumer needs to get out to JFK or Dulles airport and start taking names, specifically the name of who is in command of border control.

Apparently court orders are NOT being followed. 'Official resistance' to court orders is reported across the nation and in NYC.

The situation is described as 'Kafkaesque'.

Federal Dept. Homeland Security officers are isolating people from lawyers, restraining them with cuffs, and attempts are being made to put them on planes out of the country.

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents defied the orders of federal judges regarding Donald Trump’s travel bans on Sunday, according to members of Congress and attorneys who rallied protests around the country in support of detained refugees and travellers from seven Muslim-majority countries....

Representative Jamie Raskin, also at the airport, tweeted that the federal agency had given “no answers yet” about whether agents were ignoring the courts. Raskin joined several other attorneys there, including Damon Silvers, special counsel at AFL-CIO, one of the groups trying to help visa holders.

“As far as I know no attorney has been allowed to see any arriving passenger subject to Trumps exec order at Dulles today,” Silvers tweeted on Sunday evening. “CBP appears to be saying people in their custody not ‘detained’ technically & Dulles international arrivals areas not in the United States.”

No one responded to calls or emails with questions about the court orders at Dulles CBP or the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and the confusion played out in similar patterns at major airports around the country.

NY Post, Lawyers Back in Court After Judges Immigration Order Ignored:

“Border control people were given a list by the congressman,” said Justin Orr, a lawyer volunteering his time to aide the immigrants. “Some people have been here since yesterday morning. Some will be released within the hour and others later. Some of them need to have their paperwork approved by the White House and the permanent residents need approval from local authorities. Most need to be approved by the White House and that is taking a while.”

We have had no contact with the administration and we haven’t been able to contact our clients or help them in interviews,” lawyer Steven Rooke said.
