aye, there's the catch:

he won and was renominated by the way, it will be a close rematch against Kean's son:
National Republicans have eyed the 7th District as a potential pickup opportunity as they try to regain control of the House of Representatives after four years in the minority. Malinowski, who is going for a third term in Congress, defeated Kean — the son of former New Jersey Republican Gov. Tom Kean Sr. — by just 1.2 percentage points in 2020.
we just really have 4 parties right now, you can be in denial about that but that is the reality! there is no unity in either party, pretendiing moderates are happy with eithe one won't make it so!

Several *hours*
Previously there was something about Boebert i believe giving a long tour towards evening around that day when th Capitol was closed to visitors. She hadn't even been sworn in as a freahwoman.
As someone noted, part of the Capitol police seemed to be giving free excuses as "nothing suspicious" Sgt Schultz type handling.
Here she is, Dec 12 - https://www.salon.com/2021/08/10/lauren-boeberts-midnight-run-capitol-to...

Antonio discovering there are contradictory opinions for every piece of data on the internet.
FFS, wasn't he working on these algorithms at Facebook 8 years ago? is he to forever be the clueless wronged pseudo-traditional values conservative internet whisperer in his new incarnation? I mean Chaos Monkeys was rather brilliant, and it was stupidly woke for him to be fired over it, but it doesn't mean a lot of what comes out of his mouth isn't reactionary drivel in the guise of thinking he's relevant with his new 15 minutes of fame.
Of course if he were Elon Musk at this point he'd be worse.

Texas GOP makes an even bigger mess of the party; call it "factions gone wild"?
full lede Some 5,100 delegates and alternates voted on a party platform that also calls for ending the federal income tax, requiring education about fetal gestation and limiting the Legislature’s right to regulate guns.

^ I think back to Steve Bannon and how he thought he had this all figured out.
You know, except for the part about Biden not being legitimately elected, sounds like Mike Pence would fill all their other requirements.

I don't see what "Chasing Shadows" does; all that will happen is that pregnant mistresses of GOP politicians (and of 'pro-life' televangelists and the like) will get their abortions in safe states.

I think is a very good question:
I think not, I think people misunderstand U.S. voters who are Latino Catholics. US Catholics overall are not like like Central American Catholics, they understand the importance of separation of church and state and how in the end it protects them (Joe Biden's attitude towards his religion is similar). I think where GOP wins over Latino immigrants who are voters is the socialism vs. capitalism thing and against WOKE ELITE TRYING TO IMPOSE THEIR VALUES. They won't win any extra voters of this kind this way, they will lose some. Sure, plenty of men in Latino-American subculture still have the macho thing where big families are a sense of pride, but I don't even see most of those types wanting to impose their beliefs on others; they might try to stop their wife from getting an abortion but if gringoes want to abort their babies, that's fine with them, not their business.
State legislatures that are outlawing abortion are pandering to old-tymey white Christian nationalist minorities, it's just that simple. Time will tell whether doing that will anger other people that voted for them or whether those voters will let that go even though they disagree it is a wise law to have.

p.s. it's libertarian - you do with your own body what you want - the reason they don't like socialism is that you have to pay the taxes to support lifestyles and extra government you don't agree with and maybe even submit to it (like with schooling)

I'm not sure ppl know the stats either -
50-75% of pregnancies miscarried before women know they're pregnant
10-20% of known pregnancies miscarried (up to 20 weeks)
about 3.2% of pregnancies 20-27 weeks are stillborn, about 2.8% of those 28+ weeks.
[ok, not sure what this last line was - elsewhere they say 1/160 births are stillborn or 24K/year in US]
