    Commenting Problems

    Hey all,

    I understand that the system is not letting some of you comment or moderating long comments or comments with links.  I have admin access but I haven't been able to find any comments in moderation or any flags on any of your accounts.  I'm playing with the system, which has a pretty straight forward interface and will let you know if I find something but, in the meanwhile, if you're having problems can you try logging out and logging in again?  If that doesn't help, maybe even try logging out, clearing your cache and logging back in?  I don't have any great reason to expect those things will work except that sometimes those things work.

    Update: As of 7:16 this morning, Genghis has turned off a newfangled spam filter that he believes is causing the problem.  Please let us know if it works.  Thanks, Genghis and travel safely!

    intermittent problem

    Are there words that trigger the Block?

    Is there guidelines as to length? or Blocks of quotes?

    Replicating the BATF form Jared Loughner filled out where he checked 'no' on the 'are you adjudicated mentally ill?' box.......maybe Dagblog could provide a form with the question: 'is this spam?'.

    All a poster would have to do is check the 'no' box and be good to go. Like Loughner was with his gun. Sounds like a solution to me.

    Oh and Resistance, as a service to the community maybe you could present your 'inanimate object theory' where cars and guns are the same.....in a talk to the elementary school classmates of the 10 year old that was shot to death in Tucson. Maybe that would clear up what happened for them.

    Evidently it is you with some agenda.

    The little girl didn't get killed because of a gun, she died because a deranged stalker wanted to hurt victims. What a twisted individual you are, invoking the life of a child to affect your agenda. 

    Are you on meds?

    In fact you and the murderer  of innocent people, employ the same methods. He murdered innocent people to serve his agenda or his message and you also use these same murderd innocent people for your agenda or message 

    why don't you go to the school and capitalize on on your agenda. tell  those kids lies. Tell them how they don't have to take personal responsibility, blame the gun instead

    Hmmmm. When I was being lazy and didn't log in it said it thought I was spam (never did figure out why exactly) ... but after I logged in, everything was A-OK.

    On the bright side, the mobile site is looking damn cool ... props to Genghis I imagine.

    Sorry folks, I added a new spam filter not long before I left for vacation. For some reason, the comments aren't appearing properly in moderation. I've turned off the spam filter now. Hopefully, that will resolve the issue for now, and there won't be any serious spam problems. I apologize for the inconvenience.
