Before I start this post, I would like to vent for a second or two.

Dick Cheney is free as a bird with no charges lodged against him.

Rumsfeld is still free as a bird probably standing by some dais explaining what he knows and what he does not know to some screen in front of him. Having learned everything he ever knew about not knowing from Richard Nixon, his first governmental employer.

George W. Bush is free as a bird; never called to task for anything he ever perpetrated against the American People.

Yoo and Bybee and Gonzo...they all just keep making the bucks.

Karl Rove makes millions at FOX and will make tens of millions from a book that is full of lies and nothing but lies.

There is no justice in this country. None at all. If you have a brother or a cousin or a neighbor in jail for selling a pound of maryjane or a couple ounces of cocaine; well they are in jail for a hell of a lot less than the people of the previous Administration. And nothing will be done about it ever.

AND IT IS A DAMN SHAME.

Shame on us. Shame on the U.S. of A. Shame on all Americans.

Rush Limbaugh just proclaimed that he will leave this country if health care legislation is passed. He will move to Costa Rica where the powers that be will protect his millions and tens of millions and hundreds of millions while he receives free socialized medicine.

Shame on Americans for propping up the novo NAZIS and rewarding those who do not give one goddamn about this country.

Shame on Americans for providing a forum with hundreds of millions at stake to those who would just constantly lie about anything to reach for their capitalistic dreams.

Shame on us.

So Liz Cheney and a bunch of fascists decide to make a  commercial.  Why the fascists are making a commercial that seeks to proffer that a terrorist cell is hiding in the Obama Administration, is anybody's guess. But why this crazy woman says anything is beyond any credible explanation.  I would blame MSM for giving the bitch airtime, but...I mean a bunch of rich nazi's made a commercial so people were already getting the fascist message without any help from MSM. So in this case, MSM had to comment. And the ratings have been very poor as far as reception for this McCarthy-esque performance.

If you have ever seen the Manchurian Candidate (1962), you will see a character by the name of Senator Iselin screaming that there are 192, or 214 or 254 communists currently working in the Executive Branch of government. Well old Joe McCarthy would yell and scream about all these commies working in the Truman/Eisenhower Administrations.

Since the U.S.A. had been allies with the USSR during WWII, there certainly were people in both Democratic and Republican Administrations who had, at one time, been good card carrying members of some American association claiming to be The Communist Party. And we really lived in a socialist country from 1941-1945. The government controlled the means of production.

But Liz Cheney is not basing her claims on some claim that Obama officials attended political meetings. She is claiming that certain attorneys, now working in the WH, at one time contributed time and effort to the representation of accused terrorists.

Now OT sent me this great TV clip showing how Rachel attacked this Gorgon.

Instilling fear, baseless fear, is what the Cheney's are all about. They do not care about truth or justice or the American Way. Period. They care about the oligarchy that controls every single asset in this country. And the best way to protect that oligarchy is to instill fear in all of the subjects of this oligarchy.

There are two different instances that I can think of immediately that demonstrate a real ignorance by the right wing in this country of how our legal system works.

Every State has an Attorney General. Every county in every state has a County Attorney, sometimes called a District Attorney. And every city, every township has a prosecuting attorney of some sort.

What many attorneys have done in the past is to pick up municipal contracts. The firm will contract to prosecute misdemeanors in two or three townships as well as a couple of sparsely populated counties. The small counties and townships cannot afford to hired a full time prosecutor.

So attorneys will be attempting to keep some people out of jail in some towns or cities and be attempting to put people in jail in other towns and counties.

I venture to say that this practice is universal.

Also, at times a county or city might 'bring in' a law firm in private practice to aid in prosecuting some large case.

The second instance where attorneys are famous for duplicity--I mean duplicity is what these right wing nuts are claiming--is in the forum of military justice.

I officed with an old WWII hero in the seventies. He was asked to sign a short sheet of paper in order to come home early from the European Theatre where he served as a fighter pilot in 1945.

So, old Bob comes home, finishes law school on the GI bill and he gets a notice that he is being recommissioned. So he is sent to Korea as a JAG Officer.

In our military courts a JAG Officer will represent the Service one day and the soldier/defendant another day. They represent both sides. That is how our Courts of Military Justice works. So the military attorney will one day represent a murder/rapist and the next day will prosecute an idiot for DUI.

Now it occurs to me that these frickin Nazis want to prosecute all terrorists in military courts.

This is quite an ironic turn of events by the way.

If you wish to see exactly how this military duplicity works, watch some episodes of JAG, the TV show.

It is quite good at times. Oh sure it is stilted and contains dating rituals you probably have not seen since Ozzie & Harriet, but there are some fine presentations of courtroom rituals and JAG will give you some idea how the system works.

Liz Cheney would do well to watch a few episodes herself.
