The Bishop and the Butterfly: Murder, Politics, and the End of the Jazz Age

But not that obvious to wannabe partisan spinmeisters and Nielsen et. al., Nate

This is obvious I guess, but if you want to cut down on bothsidesism, put people on TV who have subject-matter expertise acquired through reporting or research... not generalists who are asked to opine on a whole bunch of topics they don't really know anything about.

Is this the way, something elites can do with success?

to be fair, it's not 24/7 Hannity & Dobbs over there:

Just sitting around watching the "Morning Shows" and here's a crazy idea: instead of paying Trump supporters to argue with increasingly outraged pundits, scrap all of it and just talk to reporters about facts.

for "ratings", or really cares? I'm genuinely not sure.

Partisan sloppiness, attack on NBC reporter by Ocasio-Cortez (found re-tweeted by Natasha Bertrand):

My story is completely accurate. The number of undocumented immigrants crossing the border is rising. Please check the stats before attacking the media. I cover this story closely and with accuracy. First to report on the travel ban and family separation. https://t.co/7NCGizestm https://t.co/k08xQsh3ZM

At least I hope it was sloppiness and not intentional propagandizing like Trump. More and more she is looking less and less like a shining star, more like a kiddie who is going to get eaten alive

I pretty much decided she was a fool when she advocated abolishing ICE. But a far left fool is far better than a far right fool. It's a reliable democratic district so she'll probably win and she'll go along mostly with the democratic caucus. It's ok, she'll likely grow into her role and learn.
