    Superdelegate jiu- jitsu

Bernie Sanders, who might reasonably have been expected to lament the overhang of ex officio convention delegates presumed locked in for the party-blessed Clinton candidacy has announced a plausible strategy based on, of all things, a potential looming perceived electibility argument favoring him.

Alluding to the dynamic nature of any political contest ( shorter version, "shit happens,"), Sanders on Rachel's last night  enunciated a strategy focused on convincing the empowered superdelegates notionally "pledged" ( but not bound) to HRC to abandon her as events unfold.

Maybe the unspoken contingency is email tsooris , (legal or merely reputational) maybe speech transcript related, who knows?

The important thing is that the freedom enjoyed by the supers is giving Sanders a shield against mounting cries to suspend including Obama's leaked plea.

Soldier on, Senator...a nation turns etc, etc.

Bernie pulls for the inside straight

Robert Reich cites the two pending FBI inquiries as among the contingencies

Excellent - Robert Reich ginning for the "stupid fuck" label.

Note that these polls that are giving Bernie such a hard-on show Rubio tied with Hillary - that is, a guy who finished 20 points down in his own state and dropped out vs a woman who's managed to pull out wins in multiple areas of the US and is beating her opponent 2:1 in states carried with a few million more votes.

These polls that showed Clinton ahead by 10 points a week before Michigan (it works both ways, ya know?)

Maybe if the superdelegates were doing some acid not seen since Owsley this would fly (off a building?), but these are conservative times, no Merry Pranksters to be found. Back to reality, back to earth, gents - let Major Tom carry on his lonesome.
