Suddenly, three times in four days, Jeremiah Wright blitzes the airwaves.
All to promo his forthcoming book -- and not, we are assured, to torpedo Barack Obama's White House bid.
Then a disquieting fact emerges: avowed Clinton supporter Barbara Reynolds pushed for, and then helped set up, his National Press Club appearance.
I am a retired journalist. Forty years in the business.
Perhaps I missed it (I didn't see the Moyers interview) but has any reporter bothered to ask Reverend Wright:
1) Who offered to publish your book?
2) How much is the advance?
3) When did this book offer surface?
4) Who is your agent?
5) Who managed to set up this impressive promotional blitz?
You can see where I'm going with this.
Moyers? NAACP? National Press Club?
In a four-day stretch?
All that's missing is Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert.
This is not some Mickey Mouse self-promotion.
This is a professionally organized full-court press.
So, journalists, do your effing jobs.
Ask Wright. Ask Moyers. Ask the NAACP.
If it's Mark Penn's boys, you'll make the front page of every paper in the country. Pulitzer, maybe.
Maybe there's no conspiracy to theorize about, but somebody sure as hell orchestrated this.
The American voter deserves to know who.
And I'm a little bit curious myself.

What's really going on has become so transparent in this day and age that we don't really need to rely on journalists anymore.
This really is an historic election.
It's amazing to see the power structure starting to crack because of the strength of one man.

That's pretty cryptic.

I think Wright was joking about the book. If there was one, we wold have seen him holding it up, or at least some mention of the title. It appeared that a lot of yesterday's performance was making a mockery of the media.

I'm still dumbfounded as to why and why now. He was pissed about the historic speech? That was two months ago. He stayed in the background afterwards, which was wise and no doubt there was much advice to do so. He knew this would damage the Obama campaign at a very critical time. He's put his personal agenda above the hopes of millions of Americans and about 90% of the African American population. Now that's audacity.

I'm now convinced this was a direct *hit* on Obama. Hillary's fingerprints are ALL OVER IT!
This is NO conspiracy theory, it was another desperate attempt to take him down. There are too many 'coincidences' happening in a short time span. Remember, the "overeducated" San Francisco matron who posed as a citizen journalist/Barack supporter at a private fundraising event not too long ago?
I'm livid!

I'm livid too, but I'm mad at Rev. Wright because he is supposed to stand for something more. He knew he would do damage. Hillary is gleefully clapping her hands and perhaps pulling the puppet strings of Ms. Reynolds but I doubt she has any influence with the NAACP or Bill Moyers. We already know Hillary will do anything and apparently Ms. Reynolds is happy to help. But no one held a gun to Rev. Wrights head. He's the real Judas in my mind.
A direct *hit*? Yup, it was an attempt to "obliterate".
