Obama: Doing it Again?

     It seems the Obama administration may be eager once again to 'give in' to Republican bullying, threats and demands, to 'get a deal' on the debt limit raise and the deficit.  We saw it when he dropped single payer. Again with the Dec. 2010 deal on extending the Bush tax cuts. Obama now may be ready to do what George W. Bush with a Republican Congress was unable to do in 2005.

NBA Lockout, 'Losses' and Flimflam

The NBA lockout started yesterday, and one might ask, who cares about millionaires fighting billionaires? Looking at the details, it appears that even NBA player millionaires are, like 'little people', ripe targets for scams by greedy and rich corporate run organizations. I side with the players for the reasons below. The following is my interpretation of facts presented from ESPN articles linked below..

Ron Gould (Republican-AZ) will have to disarm when he goes to public events, sporting events, or enters libraries or government buildings in Arizona. Yes, he will have to leave his gun in his car, friends. Is this an outrage??  The Bill involved, dutifully passed by the Republican Legislature and sent to the Governor for her signature, has been vetoed.

Bernie Sanders forced the Fed to release this information, which apparently was only produced after lawsuits by news organizations, Sanders website:

A Sanders provision in the Wall Street reform law already had forced the Fed last Dec. 1 to name banks that took trillions of dollars in emergency loans during the crisis.

It's not a conviction of BP, Transocean or Halliburton; none of the companies has even been indicted in the Macondo/Deepwater Horizon oil blowout that killed 11 workers, spilled a gazillion barrels of oil killing untold numbers of marine life and coating miles of coastline with oil and dead animals.

Republican Russell Pearce, Arizona Senate President, author of Arizona Law 1070 on 'enforcing the law' on immigrants, has a little problem with his own son breaking the law. The guy who thinks he has the solution to illegal immigration, can't keep his criminal son out of trouble.  Well, what else does one expect from Republicans but hypocrisy? They are ready to run your life and they have all the ideas on how to 'fix' the country, but they can't competently run their family.
