Sunday News shows barely mentioned the Women’s March
https://www.nationofchange.org/2018/01/22/sunday-shows-barely-mentioned-2018-womens-march/
Women are pissed. White Women may be more willing to form coalitions with women of color.
Blacks are pissed. Most black voters cannot stand Trump and the Republicans. Voter suppression is being challenged in courts. In Pennsylvania. the court says Republicans have mere weeks to complete the task of redrawing gerrymandered districts.
Latinos are pissed. DACA is still in limbo. Democrats are trusting Mitch McConnell to keep his word.
Democratic leadership seems lost and not really able to tap into the anger. Democratic leadership had to be forced to enter black neighborhoods. Now they seem to be surprised that women are angry. Media has not detected the level of anger. Remember media only realized that there was a Million Man March led by Louis Farrakhan when buses were headed for D.C.
The saving grace for Democrats on DACA is that 1) Trump ended the program, 2) McConnell says that he will bring up DACA in the Senate, if he doesn’t, deportations are on Trump and the GOP, 3) When the Republican House rejects any attempts at restoring DACA, the failure will be on the GOP.
Democrats and the media will have to be dragged into the present. They don’t seem able to deal with current events.

On the eternal plaint of "the media is ignoring us"
Jack Shafer @ Politico does some journo splaining for all protestors out there:
Why the Press Didn’t Cover Your Demonstration

this is a particularly pungent point from the above: The March for Life attracted an estimated 50,000 and 100,000 bodies to D.C. while the Women’s March gathered about 10,000. Where’s our coverage, cried the March for Lifers!

Yeah, because it's really hard to share "shutdown blamed on both sides" with "pissed off women marching nationwide against screwed up GOP politicians, especially the White House". MSM = "cain't chew gum & fingerpeck with 1 hand at the same time" - tough being a journo in 2018. Once upon a time you had to be able to type stone drunk to meet deadlines.

It is obviously too hard for MSM to cover both marches even if they had to travel to a distant location like Las Vegas for the Women’s March.
Edit to add:
4.2 million participated in the first Women’s March. 2.5 million participated this year. What MSM is saying is that they are not set up to deal with current events. To get news, people now go to niche websites because MSM cannot keep up with the times.
