New emails and documents released by a congressional committee investigating the Trump administration’s handling of the pandemic show the extent to which top White House officials interfered in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s efforts to warn Americans about Covid-19.

The House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis has conducted interviews over the last several months about how former President Donald Trump and his closest confidantes, including former White House adviser Scott Atlas and son-in-law Jared Kushner, tried to steer the course of the federal response, sidestepping the interagency process [....]

Fuggeaboutit, whatever the system, most quality health care personnel in it don't want to see any more patients, they want a good long vacation if not to change careers; it's really not about money anymore, if you're not on your deathbed, why should they care?

I'm one of today's 38,000 newly confirmed UK covid cases.
Caught last week from my youngest, who got it at school.
It's floored me for 5 days & counting, sickest I've been in yrs (ever?).
I still feel incredibly lucky, to have vax & not be *seriously* ill.

Events: Heavy gunfire is occuring around the area of the U.S. Embassy and residential compounds adjacent to the Trutier area of Tabarre. All Embassy personnel have been instructed to remain indoors and shelter-in-place until further notice. All others should avoid the area.

Actions to take:

Avoid the area;

Avoid demonstrations and any large gatherings of people;

Do not attempt to drive through roadblocks; and

If you encounter a roadblock, turn around and get to a safe area.
