When one has the Republican nominee being brutalized like this by David Brooks, who speaks to those moderate conservatives in the swing states like Florida and Virginia, it is pretty much over. Romney is going to have to absolutely pound Obama in that first debate to stand a chance. Just a few tidbits from his articles:

Mitt is beginning to make W look like Curious George in comparison. Well, ok, let's not exaggerate. They both seem about as curious as a stump when it comes to taking the trouble to try to understand what life is like for the great unwashed. Maybe taking in some reality and some facts feels too scary and overwhelming. Unnecessary as well. That's what handlers, fixers and the Koch brothers are for, right? They bypass the need for the former King and now the wannabe King to expose themselves to possibly unpleasant facts or pesky reality checks.
