    He is the most ignorant fool who has ever stood in front of our country before.  How many of us bought the Popeil Pocket Fisherman?  At least it worked for a few fish.  Remember when Perot talked about everyone having the same brown shoes?  At least he believed what he was saying.  Shit!  Nader believed what he was saying even though he fucked us all by deciding the only office that was good enough for himwas President.

    Now we have an incurious, uneducated, non-reader, unintellectual dolt reaching out to crowds who are just plain pissed off and have no idea what to do except to sit in front of the teevee and scream that this billionaire, who has never done one single thing for the common good, is on their side.

     He has no clue what it is like to need to see a doctor and to have to choose between that and putting food on the table. He is clueless, and it is because he is well, clueless.

    Trump is mentally ill. He is a liar and he is a racist. I didn't watch the rally because there nothing surprising that would occur. I am afraid of Trump supporters because they stand behind a man unfit for office. They will become violent if Trump is forced out. I fear Trump because he has access to the nuclear codes. We are a country in crisis.

    At WaPo- Sometimes after his rants, I watch Nazi documentaries and the similarities are stunning. I read somewhere that foreign governments have psychiatrists who study him. I bet Putin has quite a file. The horrifying part is those people who are cheering him.

    I never thought I'd see a sitting president stage a fake "rally" for the sole purpose of trying to convince himself he's loved and respected while in reality being the most incompetent and spectacular failure in presidential history. It's pitiful to watch the mental collapse of this vile individual. Pitiful.

    Worst trolling I ever saw by far. 13 or 14 years I've been watching trolls practice their trade in the blogosphere. Definitely the worst, this guy would definitely be banned immediately even back in the wild west days of 2003. Not only that, teaching the crowd to be the worst kind of early 21st century conservative radio host in so many ways with chants like little George Stephanopoulos and CNN sucks

    It is one thing to have these kind of conservative views, severe ones which many would find disgusting in themselves. it's quite another to encourage the behavior in the discourse of them. It is mental illness to do this in a grownup job as president. A conservative talk show host in this day and age wouldn't last very long doing this, he'd be fired.

    Anyone remember the Morton Downey Jr. tv show?  He trolled like this for profit, minor Neo-Nazi riots included.

    I really wonder if he is psyching himself up to quit--this is him saying: I tried to do this stuff for you, but I can't, there are too many enemies-and then names them.

    He can't not know this Schwartz is saying this now:

    He wants to retain this fan base for some reason? To create a new brand?

    After seeing he's lost all the types he used to brag about as "classy"?  (Probably even Russian oligarchs won't want his old brand anymore). Clearly not good at "the art of the deal". Make a new demagogue brand. (Like NCD suggested a day or two ago: he is thinking like this: enlightened hotel chain with Confederate monuments")

    He's going with this gut: this president thing is a big fail, but at least these people still love my shtick and I know what to give them.

    Just trying to psychoanalyze without a license like everyone else.

    Morton Downey?

    He was a later day Joe Pyne (wiki)... although more manic.

    Pyne was an American radio and television talk show host, who pioneered the confrontational style in which the host advocates a viewpoint and argues with guests and audience members. He was an influence on other major talk show hosts such as Bill O'Reilly, Glenn Beck, Wally George, Alan Burke, Chris Matthews, Morton Downey, Jr., Bob Grant, and Michael Savage.

     

    You'll note in this show he is far from being confrontational. But the majority of his shows got downright crazy...

    I think it's important to point out a couple of things.

     The audience was clearly cherry picked, this was a performance. With a very black-skinned male "fan" standing very close behind Trump/the podium, who was very physically active in support. Seemed like they had a tout to lead the chants, applause and cheers at the appropriate points.

    But it was checking out the whole pre-program that was a revelation. Very clearly Christian right version of racial unity , the whole program was planned to appeal to the Christian right including Christian right blacks

    Ben Carson did the intro speech and then he introduced a niece of Martin Luther King,  Alveda King,  a Trump supporter, gave a prayerful speech about racial prejudice, abortion and various other sinful things, and she introduced Franklin Graham for the invocation prayer.

     

    At the end of that video, for me YouTube automatically the plays a video of Ben Carson's speech.

    Alveda King endorsed Herma Cain. She stood by Cain when charges of adultery were made. She "knew" that Cain was not a skirtchaser. She was wrong. Perhaps she needs to work on her skills at identifying people's.character before making Presidential endorsements

    Thanks for posting that.  It is downright creepy.  The guns that these people love to brandish are symptoms of their insecurity and the weakness in their character. I agree that cats are more emotionally mature than many of those quoted in the article, but even cats need to get their claws clipped.
