Autism Awareness In Higher Education

I tend to post more than a few articles about autism on Facebook. I figure that most decent people won't find these controversial and might even have something compassionate and enduring to say. Wrong. One Facebook associate posted on my wall that he thought autism was a "fad" and that while "there might be some actual autistic people," it was largely a concoction.
