Can't think of a thing to say except that is this déjà vu? (all over again...)

Should give Assad some pause.

Dunno, Rootman. UN is finally willing to at least consider Syria. US pretty hard to even convince of economic sanctions, but is now; jeezus. Here's an Inside Story video from AJE. Over 450 killed by now. Sick.

Now you have me completely confused. You WANT to see an intervention in Syria?

I want the State Dept. to freeze assets of dictators, including Assad and his ministers, and end the funneling of dictator's funds that comes to American banks. I want the UN to investigate human rights violations, and condemn the violence as a start. I hate the hypocrisy we show about protestors being killed in the name of improved lives and access to government, if not actual democracy. I deplore Obama blaming Assad's mendacity on Iran. That's enough for now.

Indeed. It does kind of feel familiar.....
So, do you think he's lying this time too? Or are you still buying his lie from a few decade ago because it can be spun to put down Regan?

Dunno, kgb; it sure did remind me of the Reagan fiasco, and how long the grudge has held. I've read a number of conflicting points this morning on the deaths of the three grandchildren. It does seem clear that they targeted a house in which No. 6 son Saif (not Big Brother government minister Saif) lived with his family. A NATO spokesman said that this didn't go past UNSR 1973, as the house constituted a danger to civilians. Don't get how they can parse that one legitimately.
A commenter or Destor's blog is speaking heatedly about the lies Gadaffi tells, this one's a lie, and he only adopted the other 'daughter' posthumously. I didn't know the first child's death was a lie, so yep; looks like I'm buying it, though it doesn't make me sympathize with a tyrant like Gadaffi. You?
