One of my icons is dead!
I am watching a report on MSNBC right now.
The guy had everything, the guy could stand up better than anyone I have ever seen, the guy....
THE GUY IS GONE!
DAMN!
That is all I got right now.
I shall think about this tragedy later.
Comments
I've been watching it, too, Dick. It's such a tragedy.

I am stunned and saddened by this news.

I never knew him, obviously.
But as a fan, I loved this man.
Robin did things in the 'old days' that no one would be able to do!
He was nuts and he was a genius and all of that, but he TALKED TO ME!
And it turns out he was a year younger than me and how in the hell he could give all that up?
I have accomplished nothing in my life and there is someone who had accomplished EVERYTHING?
See, I find it hard to comment on this tragedy.
I am lost right now!

How does on love somebody he never met?
Now we have the INTERNET.
I have love for you Missy.
But we have 'conversed' within this new medium.
Robin never knew me in any sense of the word.
But, damn, he tried everything.
I really loved this guy.
And, I realize that I shall continue to see him for the rest of my life and so shall my granddaughters.
He is still there, so to speak.
See, I am lost right now and should just shut up.

I understand. It's a feeling of grief because we've lost a loved one. He snuck into our lives and brought us laughter, tears, amazing talent and a sweetness that will never be matched. But he was human, Dick. And so we'll have to accept that he chose to leave. Let's do as you said and celebrate the wonder he left behind. There's so much of it!

Comedians take your mind off the crap that is so wrong with the world. Robin was a genius at relieving tension. This is a great loss. condolences to his family.

Good point!
I would find myself so so lost and I would be faced with this man on some cable show; and he would make me feel better.
And, not as a fluff point, but we have years and years and years of this man making his point; forever! On tape.
