Superb essay. Many aha moments and light bulbs in balloons over my head. And Obey should get a credit for reminding me on another thread that Trump was not an absentee part owner of WWE but one that would show up to participate in some of the games.

Oooh a credit?! for me? We wants it, we needs it. Must have the credit. They stole it from us. Sneaky little hobbitses. Wicked, tricksy hobbitses.

Slightly underwhelmed. Read a good piece last fall that crystalized nicely the wrestling gestalt and how Trump inhabits it. Can't find it now. But it clarifies for me how to sink Trump - break the kayfabe. Or rather put him in a situation where he breaks kayfabe. The way a wrestling fan gets upset when they are all caught up in a feud between two star wrestlers and then see the two of them having lunch together. Breaking the alternate reality which they know is false, but in a way where the breaking of it manifests disrespect for them.
That's all I got.
