I will use this as a bit of a document dump.
Above is the long form that I only skimmed and probably will not read in its entirety. It is about ten minutes long and very much to the point of the nature of our two parties that stay opposed even if that means taking a 180 in order to stay opposed.

Overcoming impressions on the Republican side is difficult because the overwhelming majority of Republicans support Trump. Nationwide studies done in June suggested almost 50% of Republicans support separating children from their parents at the border.
