There's certainly (from my little analysis) some tension between left & right movements in Poland, including the strongest anti-abortion sentiment in Europe and the normal regional conflicts, and I can imagine that not all events like this have to be correlated to spring loose a conflict laying in waiting, but in this case it seemed the nationalist opposition/ruling party came out truly sympathetic rather than taking advantage of the situation. Would that only happen in America.
