Well, actually, it's the original UK model where every publisher had a clear slant. Supposedly a new model of objective journalism was invented in the 20th century, and we were working on changing that. But then the internet came along, with liberal, conservative and libertarian bloggers who had a lot invested in hating the "corporate MSM" , substituting slanted citizen journalism done in their spare time without monetary recompense. One problem among many that has arisen from this latest model: how does one cover a highway auto accident with the right slant?
