Like just after 9/11, when George Bush's approval soared, I think this is a temporary situation while people learn more along the lines "wha' happened?". As they learn about the new reality, they will then align with those whose policies and attitudes agree with where they want they own lives and their country to go.

Hillary led up to election day. They will steal this election shamelessly if they can get away with it. It's never about popularity - it's about projection of power. Even from their little empty fiefdoms in Wyoming and Idaho, to their consistently crooked Florida and North Carolina. Ukrainegate just encouraged them. They've got a moron monkey greeting a pandemic with boasts about his polling numbers, and they're A-fucking-okay with that.
[though it was never good enough that a majority preferred her - the press and others had to keep searching out the asterisks on why she wasn't good enough. Wins backing of the unions? "just the elite leaders" has a global charity? "just buying influence and mistreating locals". If Joe had only faced this windstorm, but no upside to that wish now. He needs to lead by 30 points and still stand guard for thieves.
