Montana had 400 cases Apr 15, only 500 Jun 1, still only1000 by Jul 1. Then they hit 4000 Aug 1, then 6000 yesterday, likely 7500-8000 by Sept 1, who knows what happens once school returns. And that was one of the safest states - huge & sparse, only 1 million people. 0.6% infected and climbing quick.

I noticed that too just in passing looking at the NYTimes tracking it said Montana as a hotspot. And my gut reaction is "say what?" Sometimes I feel like this country is now being a guinea pig for the rest of the world, that not enough is understood about transmission and immunity.
