I do not know exactly why, but this little bit of info from BBC News and The Daily Beast really got to me:
A fine film of water coats the particles that make up dirt on the Moon, and though the quantity of water is small, it's generating great excitement. BBC News reports that data from three spacecraft, including India's Chandrayaan probe, have confirmed the presence of water, although it would take a cubic meter of lunar dirt to squeeze out a liter of water. The U.S.' earlier Apollo missions found lunar soil that was "damp" but couldn't rule out the possibility that water got into the samples after they returned to Earth. The quantity of water increases nearer the poles, where the Apollo missions never reached. Scientists suspect that water is created in the soil via a chemical reaction involving solar wind and oxygen atoms already in the soil. Next month, a NASA probe will bomb the moon in order to see if the dust that is kicked up includes water vapor.
Two other satellites to look at the Moon - the US Deep Impact probe and the US-European Cassini spacecraft - back up Chandrayaan. Both collected their Moon data long before Chandrayaan was even launched (in the case of Cassini, 10 years ago), but the significance of what they saw is only now being realized. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/8272144.stm
Water on Mars and water on the moon!!! If this little nook in the corner of an almost infinite universe has all this life giving liquid, imagine the amount of life out there.
But my real concern today, again, turns to that peckerhead Glenn Beck. An ignoramus of the first order. A dangerous demagogue who has been given a powerful dais in the main stream media. These are some gems that issued from the mouth of this moron that I found on the internet:
- Everyone is Hitler, except for me!
What in the hell does that mean? You know, if I had lost an aunt or a
grandmother at Auschwitz, I really would not appreciate
this line. As a matter of fact I did not lose anyone in WWII, but I still
despise this line anyway.
- Hello, you sick twisted freak.
This is how glenn opens his show.
The man has no tact, no respect for the grieving, no sense of decency.
- I find this guy [father of Nick Berg] despicable. Everything in me says that. The want to be a better person today than I was yesterday says he's a dad, he's grieving, but I don't buy that. I'm sorry, I don't buy it. I think he is grieving, but I think he's a scumbag as well. I don't like this guy at all. [1][2]
This peckerhead could not possibly wish to be a better person today or any day.
- Would you kill someone for that?...I'm thinking about killing Michael Moore...I could kill him myself, or if I would need to hire somebody to do it,...No, I think I could. I think he could be looking me in the eye, you know, and I could just be choking the life out. Is this wrong? I stopped wearing my What Would Jesus -- band -- Do, and I've lost all sense of right and wrong now. I used to be able to say, 'Yeah, I'd kill Michael Moore,' and then I'd see the little band: What Would Jesus Do? And then I'd realize, 'Oh, you wouldn't kill Michael Moore. Or at least you wouldn't choke him to death.' And you know, well, I'm not sure. [1]
He also said that he would pay for the bullet that killed Michael Moore. This is a felony, by the way, if any DA would like to pursue the matter.
- Cindy Sheehan is a tragedy slut.
What would anyone add to this? What could anyone add to this?
- During his February 8, 2006 show, Beck repeatedly referred to former U.S. President Jimmy Carter as "a waste of skin", adding that North Korean leader Kim Jong Il was not a bigger waste of skin because "[a]t least evil is using that skin." [3]
Jimmy Carter could and has accomplished more in one day of his life of 80 years than peckerhead could in two lifetimes.
- I am a conservative, but I am not a zombie.
Well, that is disputable.
- You know, we all have our inner demons. I, for one -- I can`t speak for you, but I`m on the verge of moral collapse at any time. It can happen by the end of the show.
Out of the mouths of babes and insane people comes truth, once in awhile anyway.
- Political Correctness doesn't change us, it shuts us up.
Sometimes the babes and the insane prove they are babes and insane. Nothing shuts up this insane peckerhead.
Any enemy of this peckerhead is a friend of mine.
- Al Gore's not going to be rounding up Jews and exterminating them. It is the same tactic, however. The goal is different. The goal is globalization. The goal is global carbon tax....You need to have fear. You needed to have the fear of starvation. You needed to have the fear of the whole place going to hell in a handbasket. Which -- do we have that fear now with global warming?...Then you have to discredit the scientists that say 'That's not right.' And you must silence all dissenting voices. That's what Hitler did. That's what Al Gore, the U.N., and everybody on the global warming bandwagon [are doing].[4]
How could anyone forget Hitler's contribution to environmentalism in the 20th century?
- The most used phrase in my administration if I were to be President would be "What the hell you mean we're out of missiles?"
I am afraid that the most used phrase in peckerhead's administration would be: What exactly does the Secretary of State do and where are my Depends?
- It's a real blessing for me to tell you, sir, that calvary has arrived -- Fox is here! (Feb. 3, 2009)
Yessiree Bob, the Fox is guarding the henhouse. That is for sure. But the horsemen have arrived on jack asses.
Peckerhead beck pisses people off. I came across this gem concerning glenn's assertion that something went wrong during President Obama's Oath of Office. Here is an example of beck's grasp of American History:
Franklin Pierce was the only president known to use the word affirm rather than swear. Theodore Roosevelt did not use a Bible when taking the oath in 1901. Dwight Eisenhower, Harry Truman, and Richard Nixon swore the oath on two Bibles. John Quincy Adams swore on a book of law. Lyndon B. Johnson was sworn in on a Roman Catholic missal on Air Force One. Washington kissed the Bible afterwards, and subsequent presidents followed suit, up to Harry Truman, but Dwight Eisenhower broke that tradition by saying his own prayer instead of kissing the Bible. Barack Obama used a Bible when taking the oath the first time, but then did not use a Bible when re-taking the oath in private the following day. http://www.politicalarticles.net/blog/2009/03/07/neo-nazi-fat-face-glenn-beck-the-new-lying-lunatic-skunk-at-fox-news/

So who cares? We know all of this stuff already. As other blogs have noted, including mine, back the peckerhead spent all of one semester in college, has a history of mental health issues (so do I, especially when I am reading glenn beck), a history of drug and alcohol abuse, claims family values--at least for his second marriage, and is a terrible writer and a terrible speaker. Some of the above sentences are so twisted that it is difficult to discover what his point is. His vocabulary sucks, his syntax is abominable, and his sentence structure sometimes looks like an adventurer attempting to hack himself out of a tropical jungle.
Peckerhead will start out whacky; scream and yell and rant and rave; and then collapse into a pile of mush, weeping like a child who just lost his puppy.
I wrote this to notify all of you that do not already know; this idiot, this demagogue, the uneducated pile of manure just wrote a book on the United States Constitution.
In a chapter in his new book purporting to explain to "idiots" what "our Founding Fathers really intended," Glenn Beck praises an obsolete provision of the U.S. Constitution that prohibited Congress from outlawing the slave trade before 1808 and capped taxes on the slave trade at $10 per slave. In his explanation of the provision, Beck does not mention slavery, saying instead that the provision means that the Founders apparently "felt like there was a value to being able to live here" and lamenting: "Not anymore. These days we can't ask anything of immigrants -- including that they abide by our laws." http://mediamatters.org/research/200909230042
This is just a damn shame. I do not know what else to add here.
We'll have a Black President when
Pigs fly and we find water on the moon
PC's provide us with free tunes
When We have electric cars and
No smoking in bars
When all men and women are free
Yeah that will be here any time soon.
When we have Dick Tracy watches
When we have Nicotine patches
No key latches
Water proof matches
We will have all these as soon
As pigs fly and we find water on the moon
But when will the insane
Take over the asylum
When will the unread
Teach the young the value
Of being illiterate
And when will that cretan Glenn
Unravel the enigmas of our Constitution
When pigs fly and we find water on the moon.
