    Take the CEO Challenge

The CEO (Confounding Extrapolists Organization) is issuing a challenge to our fellow Dagbloggers.  We believe Tuesday night's results are our permission slip to become 'imagineers', working in the field of political extrapolation.

In other words, we can have the thrill of poking all the Republicans and Tea Partiers with pointed ideological sticks for the next two years.

Democrats have spent recent years toiling in the fields of rational, logical ideas and intellectual problem solving ... while the majority of the electorate have had their fingers in their ears, singing LA LA LA LA LA ... So, it's time to go 'off-campus' and fight the Death Panel meme, the birther meme, the secret muslim meme, etc.  with our own totally extrapolated reasonings.  And the beauty part is, as the recent past has shown, none of it has to be true!

Okay, I'll get things rolling with a few totally ludicrous 'rumors' that we can start spreading;  1) If the Pro-Life crowd believes that a) Life begins at conception. Combine that with the Republican meme, that b) corporations are people, and you get:  OMG!! The warranty on all American cars will now begin, NOT when you purchase the car, but when the model first goes into production!! That's right, PREMATURE EXPIRATIONS! 2) Again, take the "Corporations are people" meme, mix it with Social Security privitization and you get the new meme that:,  OMG!! ALL American Corporations are going to be forced to retire and die, just like PEOPLE!!  John Boehner wants to KILL COCA COLA!!  That's right! As a way of cutting the budget, Republicans are insisting that no corporation should be allowed to live longer than the oldest human being on the actuarial tables of Deloitte-Touche!  3) Take the Republican desire for lowering property taxes, mix it with a healthy dose of bat-sh*t crazy, and you get: OMG!! Lower property tax laws will require homeowners to drastically lower the prices of their homes when they sell them; they will be forced, by law, to sell their homes for less than the homes are actually worth! (Remember, truth is not a requirement for extrapolation.)

So, the challenge is to start coming up with "Death Panel" quality extrapolations that Democrats can start screaming at town halls and other similar gatherings.

Hey, if Republican dumb blonde (and former NY Lt. Governor), Betsy McCaughey can do it, so can YOU! (FYI the Lt. in Lt. Governor stands for Lieutenant, not Lite.)

So come on, join the fun. Ready, Set ... Extrapolate!

Aw, dang it. I thought this was the Geo Challenge. I love geography quizzes. Still, your idea has potential. Take the birther conspiracy and mix it with a healthy dose of Obama is a secret Muslim and you get...oh, wait.
