President Obama’s fledgling high-speed rail program was dealt a serious setback by the budget deal that he struck with Republicans last week: new details released Tuesday showed that the agreement will not only eliminate financing for high-speed rail this year, but will also take back some of the money that Congress approved for it last year....

I have to say I'm not very upset about this. I was not for high speed rail. I would rather see money going into our commuter rail system and Amtrack (which I have recently used). The tracks from Fl to DC are horrible requiring the trains to go very slow and the the cars need work and/or replacement.
I am not one bit interested in making live any better for the business class types who can afford high speed rail thank you very much. They can go kiss....a donkey.
