Someone told me
It's all happening at the zoo.
I do believe it,
I do believe it's true.
Mmmmm. Mmmmm. Whoooa. Mmmmm.
It's a light and tumble journey
From the East Side to the park;
Just a fine and fancy ramble
To the zoo.
United States Capitol
But you can take the crosstown bus
If it's raining or it's cold,
And the animals will love it
If you do.
If you do.
Something tells me
It's all happening at the zoo.
I do believe it,
I do believe it's true.
Mmmmm. Mmmmm. Whoooa. Mmmmm.
The monkeys stand for honesty,
Olympia Snowe | |
Giraffes are insincere,
Mitch McConnell | |
And the elephants are kindly but
They're dumb
Rand Paul | |
Orangutans are skeptical
Of changes in their cages
Eric Cantor | |
And the zookeeper is very fond of rum.
Zebras are reactionaries,
Allen West | |
Antelopes are missonaries,
Michele Bachmann | |
Pigeons plot in secrecy,
Darrell Issa | |
And hamsters turn on frequently.
Ron Paul | |
What a gas! You gotta come and see
At the zoo.
At the zoo.
At the zoo.
At the zoo.

I have a friend who’s been around 97 years and other than a hip problem, he’s still sharp as a tack..
He tells me that he and a group of fellow workers, talked one of their friends to go to Washington as their Representative.
The man served one term and when they asked him to run again, he flat out refused.
The reason stated was "the place is nothing but a bunch of drunks; that party all night, raising money and patting each other on the back with lobbyists paying for the party life .
The reason no one is in the Chamber when giving speeches, is that they are sleeping off the booze.
When laws are passed, the Reps don’t know what’s in the bills, they haven’t read them; there staff tells them what to do.
Night after night of partying; the man the one term Representative said, it was enough to make you sick and tells you a lot why Congress has failed the people. Who can think straight when night after night you're drunk

1. We admitted we were powerless over government and that our lives had become unmanageable.
2. Came to belive that there is no power in the universe that could return the country to sanity.
3. Made a fearless decision to get drunk and stay that way.

What a sweet reply. How sweet you were to write it, and yes, I am doing well. Or much much better than I used to anyway. Hope you are well too -- or as well as one can be after this clusterfuck of an election. xo
