Yes, lets get back to our roots.

Kind of related in a very strange way; current western civilization has this underlying principle of protecting unrelated young over grownups, at least medical professionals, who undoubtedly reported this reason for the baby's death:

could it just be strength in numbers, that other elites are just now realizing how unpopular the ideas of The Woke really are, and they therefore don't have to kowtow any more?

but not the ACLU, they're still hot and heavy on woke minutia:

It'd be pretty unbearable for those bleeders to be recognized for their completepersonhood rather than their body functions, skin color, or if need be their well-documented hysterical emotional state. Why do they have to be so divisive?

Yglesias doing his bit to try to help move this along with "Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Democrats":

the top tweet is wishful thinking, BTW, as I've seen other tweets showing that the current Scientific American editor is a woke wackadoodle that also favors things like attacking Disney iconography...real over the top stuff...

the problem is that what's old is new again is getting old again:

Not everyone really wants to get along with others, and playing around with racial theories is a good way to rationalize it.

A comment that I thought was relevant. I read it on a song on YouTube:
There was a movie that came out in 2016 - The Legend of Tarzan. Instead of a simplistic adventure through the jungle like most Tarzan incarnations, it was politically and historically charged - Tarzan becomes involved in fighting off the Congolese slave trade. Samuel L. Jackson plays George Washington Williams, a real life figure who was involved in exposing Belgium's exploitation of the Congo.
The movie was excellent, in my opinion, but like most woke movies, it failed at the box office. And it was so certainly powered by the weaponized shame that the above comment describes. That's why most audiences didn't like it.

Not to sound harsh here but Andrew Sullivan's liberalism or conservatism or whatever it is that he subscribes to doesn't propagate itself. It might be completely rational to him but in absence of handing anything down to a new generation or a new group of people, it just represents the magical kingdom in his head.
Individualism allowed him to live a unique life of his choosing but unless he can talk to the people that wokeism or populism appealed to, his ideology is in the past.

Ah, the Yankees, always were an elite white supremacy operation (even tho taking the name of the north vs. the south) with adjacent enabling minorities, beating up on the Dominican guy with dark skin, keep then in their place. Amirite?
Wandy needs some public school reform types to come in and install one of those "no grades. no tests" systems where eveyrone gets a trophy no matter how they perform? And the team needs inclusivity training...
