Re: same week Stormy Daniels was paid off via Cohen’s LLC, Trump flew in Bill Clinton's accusers to the presidential debate
Looking back at that, I tend to think the only real effect at the time was moving the Overton window on the acceptance of sexual misbehavior by presidents to cover more of the conservative right. A wavering Clinton/Trump voter would not be much affected, especially the type that voted for Obama.
But then #Metoo happened. And Roy Moore. So the issue has gotten way muddied.
Suffice it to say: I think it behooves to keep in mind that should impeachment appear to revolve only around Stormy Daniels, and pay to play stuff with domestic companies, and foreign stories too complex for many to understand without weeks of instruction, there might not be as much public outrage as one would expect. And public outrage is what's going to get Senate GOP votes to convict.
Certainly Pence as VP is all set to take over if it looks like it's about sexual mores to the low info person, that's for sure.

eh, so what rises above boiling point? we're about out of feasible outrages, unless we find he's molested a toddler or cut in line at the DMV. ok scratch the toddler one.
Here's Trump profiting yesterday on the sale of a public housing estate. Ethics? what ethics? Remember when it was all important that Hillary shut down the Clinton Foundation due to the possible *appearance* of impropriety?
